Inspired by Ophelia by John Everett Millais, reinterpreted through my Balboize series after visiting the Tate Britain.
Two watercolor reinterpretations of Ophelia, reclaimed and reimagined as transmasculine bodies.
One emerging from the water — alive, breathing, joyful.
One submerged — not tragic, but suspended in quiet trans joy, like my “New Perimeter” drawings.
Printed on both sides of a structured faux leather crossbody pouch, this piece transforms a Pre-Raphaelite icon into contemporary queer narrative.
